Keiji Izumi 泉啓司
Born in Fukushima,Japan 1973. Lives and works in Tokyo.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University Sculpture Department and continues to practice his interest in "human" in wood carving. Supplemented by precise wood carving techniques, he combines characters with natural elements and geometric figures to construct everyday but extraordinary, humorous and fantasy artworks. He is a surreal sculpture artist who has attracted much attention in Japan in recent years.
泉啓司1973年出生於日本福島。現生活和工作於東京。
他畢業於東京造型大學雕塑系,持續地將自身對「人」的興趣實踐於木頭雕刻,輔以精準的木雕技法,將人物與自然元素、幾何圖形結合,建構出日常又非日常、詼諧而奇幻的造型;是日本近年備受矚目的超現實雕塑藝術家。
